Dalby Forest – Family Cottage
We believe our family cottage is pretty special. A two year conversion from an abandoned cow barn which is about 150 years old. Its decor has a little French influence and is very interesting, full of antiques, curios and memorabilia but has a homely, snug and intimate atmosphere. The kitchen, dining and living area are open plan which creates a warm relaxed feeling for family and friends. One looks out over a beautiful valley which is completely private. No roads or foot fall to disturb you.
The space
Located on the edge of the wonderful Dalby Forest, in fact from the front door one is looking at the forest, its location offers an abundance of activities whilst still being secluded. The cottage looks over a valley which can only be accessed along the cottage driveway. All this space is for guests to explore. Restored without altering the original footprint of the building, your space feels welcoming and homely – in fact it is so agreeably comfortable, we have had several marriage proposals (they all said yes!) and even a few requests for the marriage itself. The decor has a modern feeling with a vintage influence from eclectic furnishing.
Guest access
Acres and acres upon acres to explore or just roam but surrounding the cottage, one has a garden and patio area. Parking at the rear. We have a few distinctive glamping wagons here on the farm, should you have a larger posse or group.
We also have guest passes for Dalby Forest which grants you and your family free access to the amenities.
